Somewhere in the noise is a song. Somewhere in the cacophony is a melody—a sweet sound. The ensemble is our attempt to discover the rhythms, the groanings and the eureka moments of life amongst the noise.

Top 5: Things that make me go, 'mmm...'

Because it's what we like, not what we are like that matters, right?

1) Foil wrapped tea bags. Rip them open and they smell almost as good as fresh loose leaf. And somehow, the shiny inside is always a surprise.
2) Grey skies over the river. Winter: my friend.
3) Gloss white woodwork. Classic, durable and beautifully executed at Simon and Fi's place. Snaps, people.
4) Breakfast out - alone or avec posse. Unlike, say, dinner out, there's no shame in an unaccompanied breakfast. And seeing friends before their first caffeine hit is entertainingly revealing.
5) String.

I love rain too! And even if we've only had 1mm for the day it's still a foretaste of glory divine!

I was peachy keen for rain on our wedding day. I guess that would have been ironic.

I'm trying to figure where you've seen white woodwork...doorframes?

ok - 5 things that make me go mmmm...

In no order (really, no order):

1. freshly ground coffee
2. a lingering hug with Fi
3. an absolute deluge of a downpour
4. either a) looking over and seeing fella run while I'm running with her, b) fella snuggling up when she's tired or c) fella eating dog biscuits/drinking water. Yeah, fella doing something!
5. Seeing people opening up their hearts to God in raw worship (a subjective 'mmmm...' i realise - what's raw to me might be something else to you...

Five 'mmmm' things:
1. Running on a warm road post rain, and the smell of steam off the bitumen.
2. Flopping on my bed in the middle of the day, in fact the action of flopping anywhere.
3. the Australian bush.
4. random moments with loved ones that you cant really plan.
5. swimming underwater...(ideally i'd stop at 4 but this is pretty cool too)

Hey, Josh - welcome to the noise. I love wet pavements and running in rain that soaks but doesn't saturate (read: squelchy shoes)

1. snuggling my wife first thing in the morning when she's all warm.
2. coffee, new norcia bread, 130's early on a fresh sunny winters morning
3. the luscious tone of any fender guitar, especially if its mine and i'm playing it, oh lordy!
4. rain (what is it with rain?)
5. driving a hot car on a windy road - clean lines = fast times!
