Somewhere in the noise is a song. Somewhere in the cacophony is a melody—a sweet sound. The ensemble is our attempt to discover the rhythms, the groanings and the eureka moments of life amongst the noise.

Dick & Rick Hoyt

I stumbled over this while looking for something else earlier today...

Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!
Hebrews 12: 1-3 (MSG)

A while ago I heard the soundtrack to this being used for something else. I shed a tear as it brought back all the memories of Dick and Rick and what they've done in so many of our hearts.

I guess the Hoyt "brand" is (for me) thoroughly tied up with the music I hear when I watch that clip.

Grainne is right, words are paltry when it comes to this stuff.

Yeah, you should do a search on 'I can only imagine' on YouTube...you'll get pretty much everything with that as a backing track (including one with Steve Irwin).
