Somewhere in the noise is a song. Somewhere in the cacophony is a melody—a sweet sound. The ensemble is our attempt to discover the rhythms, the groanings and the eureka moments of life amongst the noise.

Healing: What the? (Part One)

Sorry that my inaugral post is a macabre one, but that's life...

Thoughts on healing and why some recieve this baffling gift, with the same prayer said for another and they don't?

Great friend of mine, playing basketball this week, 30 years old has a heart attack and dies...

What's with that?

soon to be explored.

Hello Cacophony

I reckon any succinct answer is overwhelmingly trite at the same time. Even if it's truth, it still sounds glib.

And so...whoa! That's hard core.

All I know is that God is in the cracks and the vistas...and the deal is sometimes not to come up with an answer, but to find Him in the ugliness of it all. To 'abide' seems so hard, because it seems like a thing to do when you want to take a rest. But sometimes 'abiding in CHrist' is the option you're left with when the answers aren't there and you just want to shake your fist.

Shake the fist, absolutely. But shake it at God and take to Him.

To me, this IS the cacophony. How do you hear the voice of God in this kind of darkness. And yet it's there...somewhere...waiting to be heard. His heart is opposed to what often happens in a broken world and yet the continued cry of his heart is back to him...back to him...back to him.

Again - this isn't an answer. It's not even attempting a clean answer. Yet, in there somewhere is solace and a gradual understanding that He knows. Someone greater than me knows the stuff I can't reconcile.

PS.
Psalm 34:18
18 If your heart is broken, you'll find God right there; if you're kicked in the gut, he'll help you catch your breath.

PPS.
Great to see you in the noise

Rest in God's character
Wrestle in the unknown
Surrender to his ways
In your suffering, you're not alone
