Pretty sure I am.
Kevin Rudd's not though. Neither is his wife.
Rudd revealed his sensitive side yesterday, telling Australia he believes women have the right to be independent beings, not just appendages to "middle-aged men".
In the process of dropping the 'A' word a whole lot of people got pretty excited.
Thoughts?
Somewhere in the noise is a song. Somewhere in the cacophony is a melody—a sweet sound. The ensemble is our attempt to discover the rhythms, the groanings and the eureka moments of life amongst the noise.

Are you an appendage?

i reckon it was a pretty sly move in light of the hammering i heard him take yesterday morning on radio. on balance i don't think the coalition attacks have hurt him at all––it's probably helped some because he gets to the play the "we're progressive" game (think bill + hillary, tony + cherie), while perhaps inferring that john howard's wife (whatsername?) is a bit of an appendage.
appendage... hehe
Yeah, I agree. I think the coalition are looking for some cracks to pry open and drive an assault vehicle through but, for Labour, they seem to be navigating a surprisingly tight ship at the moment.
Unity at last?
They'll use anything to try to get people distracted. I think Australia just wants a change. We think things are pretty sweet and we're bored with the Libs, they are apparently full of it so we'll just vote for another mob who'll just give us a slightly different flavoured "full of it".
And yes, it's dodgy what her company did and yes, she fixed it. Who gives a flying rats clacker really? Would that really affect your decision to vote Labour? When you rock up to the ballot box in Oct/Nov and you look at the squares, you probably won't even recall that Mrs Rudd (oops, that's appendage-like), sorry, Mrs Theresa Rein was involved in this crap.
Here endeth the political rant, I'm just over all this rubbish. And don't get me started on the "Christian" parties!!!!
Start your own Mikey.
No, I think I'll just curl up into the foetal position come campaign time.
appendage. heh.
Who knew unity was even possible for Labor?
But who knew that what we-the-voters/taxpayers/citizens want are actually monolithic collections of individuals who do nothing other than toe the party line? It seems like such an odd thing to value in a system that’s theoretically about collecting the views of the many and trusting that the ‘best’ approach becomes apparent...
But yeah, appendage...
Cheers. Anyone called Cletus is more than welcome on Cacophony!
